Candelabra
To Light A Candle, my poetry workshop series, has been running for four sessions now. A whole year. I have been concocting something special to celebrate.
Candelabra is an anthology, representing the first year of To Light a Candle, collected in one volume.
The four sessions include 17 poets and 22 poems. The amount of prompts has been expanded to a tidy total of 100. Candelabra is a digital anthology, available for download on my website for $15 - $45, sliding scale. You are encouraged to print out the anthology, in respect to the original ‘by mail’ / physical media vibes, if you so choose - but I won’t tell anyone if you simply enjoy via a screen.
Here is the direct link to purchase the anthology.
and here is the page where you can access the anthology by entering the given password.
…and here is the standard ‘to light a candle’ page on my website, which is also a good place to start.
Candelabra includes poems by:

Adrienne Rich
Kaveh Akbar
Margaret Atwood
Chanda Feldman
Jane Wong

I would like to thank the following people:
Christopher Luna, for The Work, and for his heart.
Alex Vigue, EIC of Day Job Journal (my first publication!), for permission to feature his poem “Filth”.
Romy Rhoads Ewing, for permission to feature their poem “after Divine, who said filth was her life,”.
Jane Wong, for replying to my DM & excitedly sharing about the workshop on social media.
B. Mishra, for her thoughtful observations, excellent reccomendations, & warm companionship.
S. Matson for sitting at the top of the leaderboard, as the only person to register for 3 sessions of To Light a Candle.
(Romy, B. Mishra, T. Overby, and S. Summerhill are tied for 2nd at 2 sessions attended!)
My husband, for everything but especially brewing coffee.
You’re very kind and I’m so glad these workshops have found so many homes. Here’s to more in 2025! 🍻
